Channel Description

Each SOFIE channel measures solar intensity in two bandpasses designed to capture strongly and weakly absorbing regions of the target gas.  Measurements of the intensity difference reduce atmospheric interference and common-mode noise, and are amplified to increase fidelity.  The difference signals are computed onboard as band 2 - band 1, band 4 - band 3, etc...
